Extraction Systems

Extraction systems are crucial in restaurant and fast food establishments to maintain air quality, safety, and comfort in the kitchen. These systems consist of several key components, each contributing to effective ventilation. Kitchen hoods or extraction canopies capture smoke, steam, and grease, while exhaust fans work to expel these contaminants from the kitchen area. Ductwork, which can be either square or round, channels air from the hoods to the outside. Filtration is essential as well, with grease filters and air filters removing particles and odors to keep the air clean. Make-up air systems introduce fresh air to balance the air pressure, ensuring efficient airflow.
